6. Examples

The following is an example of a simple Request for Quote message for one line item between a supplier identified with GLN 4012345000009 and a buyer identified with GLN 5412345000013. The buyer identifies the contact who will handle any queries regarding the request as being N Schulte.

The quotation is dated the 1st January 2002 with a reference number RQT709. The buyer requests information on the terms of delivery and the basic payment terms.

The product is identified by GTIN 4012345111118. The buyer requests information on the products dimensions, its calculation gross price for 50 units of the product, its rate of tax, and any allowances available for it. Information is also requested on the main carriage transport which will be used to deliver the product.
